Mammoth Mountain has its days and Sunday January 15th was one of them.  The 1st inaugural "Surf & Ski day" weekend - We hit our local break in the morning on Friday then jammed up to Mammoth for an afternoon filled with burners.  Friday night the snow storm blew in.  Saturday we skied in the snow all day while the top of the mountain was closed.  Around 3AM on Sunday it stopped snowing, we awoke to clearing skies and all the ingredients for an epic blue bird day with over 28 inches of fresh snow.  We got on First chair at 8:30am and had an absolutely sick day of skiing at Mammoth with face shots throughout.  We ended the weekend at Rossi's in Big Pine for a family style Italian feast.
