The biggest swell in 2 years blasted La Jolla
today. Rumors were in
the air, but once the California buoy was over 30 feet with 20 second
periods every surfer knew there was a great swell coming. The West
swell peaked Wednesday, lighting up many big wave spots in the La Jolla
area. Big Wednesday produced waves in upwards of 25 feet on the face.
Most surf spots were shut down while the sleeping giants were awoken.
Below you will see surf pictures throughout the day from Blacks, some outer
reefs of La Jolla, and the La Jolla Cove.
